Tax Instalment Pre-payment (TIPP) Program

The Town of Magrath offers the Tax Instalment Pre-payment (TIPP) Program to help property owners pay their annual property taxes through smaller monthly payments. The program helps with household budgeting and reduces the risk of late-payment penalties.

Eligibility

To participate, your property tax account must be in good standing and remain so throughout your enrolment. Registration and payments are managed through the Town Office.

How the Program Works

The program runs from January to December each year. Your initial monthly payment amount is based on the previous year’s taxes. When tax notices are issued in May, your payments are recalculated to reflect the current year’s taxes.

Your annual tax notice includes a payment schedule showing:

• Your current monthly payment amount.

• Your revised monthly payment amount.

• Your monthly payment amount beginning January 1 of the following year.

When to Enrol

The Town encourages property owners to enrol in January. If you would like to join at another time of year, please contact the Town Office to discuss your options. Requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
