Subdivisions

A subdivision is the process of dividing a larger parcel of land into smaller lots, either for development, sale, or other uses. Subdivisions help manage growth, organize land efficiently, and ensure that new lots meet municipal standards for services, access, and zoning. In Magrath, the subdivision process is coordinated through the Oldman River Regional Services Commission (ORRSC) and follows these steps:

1. Go to ORRSC Website to learn more of what the subdivision process looks like.
2. Check the Land Use Bylaw to verify whether subdivision is allowed for your land use district.
3. Complete the Urban Subdivision Application Form and submit it to the Oldman River Regional Services Commission for review.
