Town Recreational Amenities Closed To Prevent COVID-19 Transmission
Town of Magrath • April 15, 2020
With warmer weather on the horizon, the desire to go outdoors becomes stronger and more accessible for everyone. However, given the current Provincial State of Emergency this must be done safely. Additional precautions to our original facilities closures are being put in place to promote physical distancing and prevent the possible transmission of COVID-19 from surfaces.
The following Town recreation amenities are closed until further notice:
• Tennis Court
• Skateboard Park
• Lions Park
• Fishpond Playground
• Disc Golf Course
The trail currently remains open. Residents are asked to follow the safe physical distancing guidelines set out by the Province so that further precautionary measures are not necessary.
Additionally, the Town’s outdoor sports fields will not be lined or be made available for organized rental use before June 1st 2020. During this time only an essential level of field maintenance will be performed. Town Administration will review the fields decision on May 15th to reassess and determine if June 1st is appropriate or if the period should be extended.
