Non-Binding Question

Council for the Town of Magrath approved a non-binding plebiscite question to be included with the upcoming By-election for the vacant Town Councillor position. The question that will be voted on is:

“The Magrath Golf Course property is owned by the Town of Magrath. Would you be in favour or opposed to the sale of the course to a private party on condition that it remain an 18-hole public golf course?”

In Favour Opposed

Voting will take place on Monday, December 2, 2019 at the Magrath Civic Building (55 South 1 Street West – former Town Hall) from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm.

There will be an advance poll on Friday, November 29, 2019 at the new Town Hall (6 North 1 Street West) from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm for those who are not able to vote on election day.
