There continues to be citizens who begin construction of a property improvement without obtaining the necessary development and/or safety codes permits for your project.  Prior to any construction, application must be made to the Town for the improvement.

Town Projects

We would like to thank you for your patience as we work through the summer construction season.  There are a number of projects going on throughout the Town and they may have caused some inconveniences to citizens.  We assure you that these projects, although they may cause annoyances in the short term, will bring long-term benefits to the Town.

Skateboard Park

We would like to send out a special thank you to Zack Zobell for taking on painting the skateboard park as a scouting project and to his family for pitching in to help. It looks wonderful.

Lawn & Garden Watering Notice

We are asking residents to water even and odd days depending on your house number. i.e. if your house number is even you water on even number days. Please be responsible with watering.

Irrigation Notice

Irrigation is off due to maintenance.  It should be back up and running  hopefully in a couple hours.  Thank you for your patience.

PARKING REMINDER

NO Parking along or on Highway 62 or Highway 5 for the Firework show. Please park along 3 Ave North or in the Town Owned lot or by Magrath Home Hardware. Peace Officers and Fire Department will be on site for safety and traffic control.

Fire Information

The County of Cardston has a fire advisory.  In the Town of Magrath fires are permitted provided they are in a contained fire pit.  Make sure your fires are not large, all burnable debris is removed from surrounding areas and that you have water on hand.  

Items you should not burn:

- Treated or painted lumber. 

- Lumber products containing glue or resin.

- Wet or unseasoned wood.

- Leaves, brush or yard waste.

- Garbage.

- Rubber, tires and plastic.

- Furniture.

- Any animal carcass or part thereof.

Please take these items to our landfill and place in appropriate location.
