A Little About Magrath...

Magrath was established in 1899 by settlers sent by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from Utah and Idaho. These settlers were recruited by the Alberta Railway and Irrigation Company to construct irrigation works in the area. This was the first major irrigation work in Canada. Today Magrath is known as the “Garden City” and has an exceptional quality of life. The community has outstanding schools and recreation areas and is home to a number of growing technology and agri-food businesses.
