Solutions for Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems

In 2013 a United Nation’s Global Initiative called “The Sustainable Development Solutions Network” produced a report entitled: Solutions for Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems: Technical Report for the Post-2015 Development Agenda. This report speaks about the growing importance of global agriculture and helped the inspire the formation “The Sustainable Agriculture Education Partnership” between the Town of Magrath, Westwind School Division and other corporate and institutional partners. It is also consistent with the Starfield Centre greenhousing initiative that is being established here in our community. Water Pressure

If you notice low water pressure or that your sump pump is running please contact the Town as it could be an indication of a possible water leak. 403-758-3212

Snow Removal

The Town of Magrath does not remove snow from sidewalks adjacent to private property.  This is the responsibility of the property owner.  If by chance your sidewalk is cleared it is because of a “Snow Angel” in your neighborhood and does not mean that it will be cleared for you through the whole season.

Remember, when clearing snow from your driveways or sidewalks to shovel the snow onto your own property or boulevard, not on the roads! This will allow proper drainage and help to avoid patches of ice from forming. Thank you for your cooperation!

The municipality has currently changed emergency automated messaging service to new company. We have transferred all our contacts over from the old system.

We hope to notify all citizens quickly and efficiently in case of emergency and/or public alerts (ex: boil water notice, smoke detector battery change, temporary interruption of the water supply, etc.).

This system will allow us to notify you as much by landline, cellular, text and/or email. You can update your preferences by following the link below and filling your information on how you would like us to send you information.
