Candidate Training Sessions

The Society of Local Government Managers (SLGM) in partnership with Alberta Municipal Affairs will be offering five (5) training sessions for potential candidates and their campaign workers in Calgary, Edmonton, Lethbridge and Grande Prairie.

There is no charge for these sessions – but the attendees must register. The registration form is live on the site

Candidate packages are available at the Town Office for pick up.

Town Projects

We would like to thank you for your patience as we work through the summer construction season.  There are a number of projects going on throughout the Town and they may have caused some inconveniences to citizens.  We assure you that these projects, although they may cause annoyances in the short term, will bring long-term benefits to the Town.

Nomination Packages for the 2017 Election are ready for pick up at the Town Hall.

Election Workers

 The Town of Magrath is seeking interested individuals to assist with the upcoming Municipal Election.  The Election will take place on October 16, 2017 and the individuals will be required to be available from 8:30 a.m. until all the ballots are counted and reconciled at the end of the Election Day.  You will also be required to attend a training session that will take one afternoon and will be held sometime in September.

Arena Concession

The Town of Magrath is accepting “Expressions of Interest” to operate the Arena Concession Area for the 2017 – 2018 Hockey Season.  The successful party will be required to enter into an agreement with the Town regarding rental fees, hours of operation, cleaning requirements, etc.   For further information please contact the Town Office at 403-758-3212.

Skateboard Park
