Council completed its annual strategic planning session this past weekend and made significant progress in their 2019 operational as well as their five year capital planning. Council also decided, after considerable public consultation and deliberation over the past few years, that the current public library will be transformed into a Community Multi-Purpose Facility, and that the Town office will be moved into a portion of this facility together with new public bathrooms, public meeting rooms and other facilities. It was also agreed that a prominent plaque will be added to this upgraded facility in order to recognize the exceptional fund raising and contributions of the Friends of the Magrath Museum and Library which led to the construction of this building, as well as recognizing those to helped make this an exceptional, safe and welcoming facility over the years.
